The Heart is a Pump: Found Poetry Review

I've just sent back the proofs of my latest poem to be accepted for publication. The Found Poetry Review is always a fascinating read, and I'm especially lucky to have been chosen for their first printed edition. 

The Heart is a Pump is from a sequence of found poems generated from my PhD research. In this case, all the words came from this book, which lives next to my monitor:

The editor was kind enough to send along a colleague's comments, and gave me permission to post them here.

 Conquers the nearly impossible task of writing a non-pithy poem about the heart. The first three stanzas are meatier, though the relationship the latter three hints at is intriguing. Well selected from a good source.

I can't wait to get my hands on my complimentary copy.
